Herald Palladium 08 Oct 1976
The obituary for Nellie Apple was carried in the Hearld Palladium on Friday 08 
Oct 1976 and reads:  “Mrs. William Apple Bridgman Mrs. William (Nellie C.) 
Apple, 66, of 2045 Russell road, Baroda, died at 3 a.m. today in St. Joseph 
Memorial hospital.  She was born Feb. 4, 1910, in Bridgman.  Surviving are a 
daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Becky) Shores, Baroda; three step sons, Robert 
Richardson, Bridgman, Myron Apple, Baroda, and Wayne Apple, Benton Harbor; two 
step daughters, Mrs. Howard (Virginia) Davis, Benton Harbor and Mrs. Carol 
Coulombe, Bridgman and a brother, William Mast, Bridgman.  Her first husband, 
Charles Richardson, preceded her in death in 1955.  Funeral services will be 
held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Boyd funeral home, Bridgman, where friends may 
call after 7 p.m. Saturday.  Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.”
