May 9, 1826. She died at her home in Oronoko, Berrien Co., Mich., July 15, 1902, at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 6 days. She was married to Joseph Beach, April 9, 1850, at her childhood home. To them were born three children, John C., Alma L. and Effie P. and to a fourth, Walter C., she gave a mother's love and care from infancy to manhood. Two years after their marriage she and her husband were converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church of which she has remained a faithful communicant. Her Christian life has been marked by constancy, humility, faithfulness, zeal and love. In the winter of 1853-4 she came with her husband to his community to make a home. Here for over forty-eight years her life of unselfish devotion in the home, community and church has been as an open book to everyone and many have been blessed thereby. Of her it may be truly said: "She hath done what she could." Funeral this afternoon.
