BEAN RITES HELD

     Buchanan, Dec. 24--Funeral services for James W. Bean, 77, who died
Saturday at the Clear Lake Woods Rest Haven were held today at 3 p.m. in the
Swem Funeral Houme.  The Rev. William Y. Pohly, pastor of the First Methodist
church, officiated.  Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.
     Bean was born Oct. 25, 1874, in Elmira, N.Y. son of George H. and Anna
Bean.  He married Lou Graham in 1907 in Buchanan.  She died in 1933.
     He is survived by four sisters Mrs. Earl Witham, of South Bend, Mrs. Viola
Swearingen, of Flint, Mrs. Cora Busben, of Mishawaka and Mrs. Elizabeth Echert,
of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Additional Comments:
Husband of Louella Stevens.  Lou was first married to Henry Graham in 1902.
