This obituary was provided by the Pobocik Funeral Home in Three Oaks, 
Michigan  “Joy Marlene Brackett, 68, of Three Oaks, Michigan passed away 
Thursday morning, May 18, 2006, at her home with family by her side.  Joy was 
born October 24, 1937 in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Francis and Irene 
(Shirley) Glassburn.  She graduated from Three Oaks High School and married 
Jack Brackett on April 25, 1970.  Joy was employed by Precision Plastics, 
Three Oaks, for sixteen years, retiring in 1995.  She was a member of the 
Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in LaPorte, Indiana.  Joy is survived by her 
husband Jack; sons, Jaydee (Linda) Vinnedge, New Buffalo, Michigan, Jerry 
Vinnedge, Plant City, Florida, and James Allen (Teresa) Brackett, Baroda, 
Michigan; daughters, Lorie Ann Vinnedge-Teadt, Lakeland, Florida and Joy Marie 
(Kevin) Rahmlow, Michigan City, Indiana; grandchildren; Allen, Samantha, 
Jeanea, Shaun, Haly, and Travis; and great grandchildren, Austin and Skye.  
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 22, 2006 at Pobocik 
Funeral home, Three Oaks, with the Reverend Matthew Kiecker officiating.  
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, three Oaks.  Visitation will be 
from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at the funeral 
home.”
