Herald Palladium 15 Nov 2008  Stephen T. Brackett Indianapolis, Ind. –Stephen 
T. Brackett, 31, Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008.  He was 
born in Niles on Oct. 8, 1977.  Steve graduated from Buchanan High School and 
continued his education by attending the University of Notre Dame and 
graduating from Western Michigan University.  He began working at Shelby 
County Probations on Aug. 25, 2003, as a juvenile probation officer and was 
promoted to assistant chief probation officer last year.  Steve loved the 
outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish 
football.  Steve is survived by his loving wife, Shannon M. Brackett; parents, 
Bill and Jane Brackett, brother, Phil (Jennie) Brackett; nieces and nephew, 
Garrett, Sarah and Lilly Brackett; parents in-law, Irma and Tom McKeand; and 
sister-in-law, Christa (David) Smith.  Funeral services will be held Monday, 
Nov. 17, 2008, at 11a.m. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on 
Sunday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m.  Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 
Buchanan.  Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital of Children, 
30 S. Meridian Street, Ste. 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
