Mr. Butler, as we learn, started to go fishing on the day mentioned, and when a few rods from the house, was attacked with a spell of dizziness, to which he has been subject for several years, and leaving his bucket and fishing tackle, he returned to the house and complained to his wife who advised him to lie down. He did so, and in a few minutes said he felt better. Shortly after, Mrs. Butler missed him from the house, and when he was found he was lying dead within a short distance from where he had left his pail and fishing apparatus, having, to all appearance, died without a struggle. Additional Comments: wife referred to in this obit was Julia A. Galbreath, born 1 Sept 1825 in Ind., married Wm. T. Brown in Buchanan 29 March 1840, married Benjamin Butler 23 July 1864, subsequently married Michael Hess on 11 June 1873 and Pitt Pierce 23 Nov. 1890. She died 2 Jan. 1910.
