Feb. 26, 1891, page 3 OBITUARY Samuel Camp was born in Clinton county, Ohio, Sept. 5, 1825 and died in Buchanan, Mich., Feb 23, 1891, aged 65 years, 5 months and 8 days. In 1846 Mr. Camp came from Ohio to Berrien county, Mich., where he made his home the balance of his life. Dec. 28, 1851, he was married to Susan Snyder, by whom he had one child, a son, who is still living. The angel of death soon visited his household and removed from earth the wife and mother. In 1855, May 9th, he was married to Ann Elizabeth Ackerman, who also preceeded him to the grave. This union was blessed with four children, two sons and two daughters. Mr. Camp first, united with the Baptist church in Ohio, but more recently he placed his membership with the Disciples of Christ. He died in the hope of a blissful immortality beyond the grave. The funeral services were held in the Christan church, at 2 p.m. on Tuedasy, Elder Wm. M. Roe delivering a sermon suitable to the occasion. Additional Comments: Son by Susan Snyder was Calvin Camp.
