Mrs. Myrtle E. Canfield, 84, of 1104 Oak St., died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in
Quick's Convalescent Home after an illness of two months.
     She was born July 30, 1875, in Buchanan and moved here from Buchanan 47
years ago.  Her husband, George, died in 1932.  She was a member of the Grand
Army of the Republic.
     Mrs. Canfield is survived by a son, Ray Canfield, Niles; two daughters,
Mrs. Byford Jones, Niles, and Mrs. Lewis Webber, Honor, Mich.; 12 grandchildren
and 22 great grandchildren.
     Friends may call at teh Kiger-Halbritter Funeral Home where services will
be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. John P. MacLachlan, pastor of the
First Presbyterian Church.  Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
