CHAPEL BUCHANAN—Orson Semon Chapel, 70, route one Gelien, died Sunday at 4:45 a.m. at Pawating Hospital, Niles. He had been ill several years. Mr. Chapel was born June 4, 1892, in Flint, son of the late Frank M. and Dora Chapel. He came to Buchanan 55 years ago. His wife, Clartha Marble, whom he married Dec. 12, 1913 in Boyne City, preceded him in death Aug 21, 1940. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert Brown, Cassopolis, and Mrs. Elz Lolmaugh, route two; a son Orson J. Chapel, Galine[sic] 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was retired in 1958 from the Garden City Fan Co., Niles where he had been an employe 23 years. He was a member of the Niles Elks. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Swem Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elvin G. Nyhuis,, pastor of the Glendora Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be in Galien Cemetery.
