April 25, 1918, page 3, column 2 LITTLE MARJORIE CHILDS PASSES AWAY AFTER A LINGERING ILLNESS Marjorie, the little 8-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Childs of Buchanan passed away Sunday morning about 6 o’clock after suffering for several months with dropsy and heart trouble. The funeral service was held at Buchanan at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Norman Braby officiating. Burial took place at Forest Lawn cemetery. Those who attended from here were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dedrick, Mrs. Godfrey Schelley and daughter, Mrs. Martha Ainsley, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Drier, Mr. and Mrs., Fred Schelley, Mr. and Mrs. Godfey[sic] Schelley, besides a host of friends.
