The Berrien County Record carried the obituary of Julia Clayton on 17 May, 
2007:  “Julia J. Clayton Pentwater, Mich.—Julia Joy Clayton, 54, formerly of 
New Troy, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Oceana County Medical Care in Hart, 
Mich.  She was born Aug. 2, 1952 in New Troy, the daughter the late John and 
Lillian (Henspeter) Hauch.  She graduated from River Valley High School in 
1970.  On Feb. 29, 1980 she married Larry Clayton.  He survives with a 
daughter, Lori (Bruce) Cook of Comstock Park; two grandchildren; four sisters, 
Joyce (Larry) Green of Three Oaks, Jane (William) Brackett of Niles, Loretta 
(George) Zielke of Buchanan and Lucille (Gordon) Christopher of Illinois; and 
a brother, James (Vicki) Hauch of Buchanan.  She was also preceded in death by 
two brothers, John and Jerry Hauch.  Services were held Saturday, May 12 in 
Pike Funeral Home.  Burial followed in New Troy Cemetery.  Memorials may be 
directed to any charity.”
