Enders of Benton Harbor, who was stricken at the courthouse Monday morning, died that same night at 8 o’clock at the home of his brother, Jacob E. Enders, 4?6 Maple Street, Benton Harbor, from a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Enders was first taken ill while in conference with Judge Bridgman and was at once removed to his brother’s home where he remained unconscious to the time of his death. No hope was given at any time by his physicians. The youngest member of a prominent family of merchants, Mr. Enders had been identified with business interests of the twin cities for many years. He had been employed in the stores of his brothers, both in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, and several years ago was in business in St. Joseph. Mr. Enders was 46 years of age. He was born in Watervliet and was the youngest son of Adam and Theresa Enders. He was married to Miss Melvina Vogel of Hartford 28 years ago, who, with three children, a daughter, Frances, and two sons, Cecil and Wilbur, survive him. Mr. Enders is also survived by four brothers, Jacob E., Joseph I., and John Enders of Benton Harbor, William of Coloma, and one sister, Mrs. George Kinney of Baroda. Mr. Enders was a member of the First Methodist church and was a member of the Coloma lodge of the Modern Woodmen of America. The funeral was held this afternoon from the residence, Rev. Newell A. McCune of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial was at Crystal Springs cemetery.
