DEATH THOS. FITZGERALD

Harry L. Fox received a telegram from Glendale, Calif., today announcing the
death yesterday afternoon of Thomas Fitzgerald, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.H.
Fitzgerald, former residents of Niles.  The young man had been employed as an
engineer by a construction company in another California city and was injured
while at work in such a manner that an operation was necessary which resulted in
his death. He was about 24 years of age and an only son.  Besides his parents,
he is survived by three sisters who will be remembered in Niles as Mary, Isabel
and Frances Fitzgerald.  He was not married.  His mother was formerly Miss Edith
Stevens & was a sister of W.W. Stevens and a member of a prominent pioneer
family whose home was for many years on south Lincoln Ave., and in later years
destroyed by fire.
