FUNERAL RITES DAVID HARTLINE THIS AFTERNOON
LifeLong Residetn of Glendora District Died Tuesday; Many Children and Relatives
here

     David G. Hartline, 72, died on Tuesday Feb. 27, at this home eight miles
northwest of Buchanan, after a long period of failing health.

     He was born July 26, 1861, near Glendora, the son of Joel and Betty[sic]
Boyle Hartline.  His mother passed away August of last year. He was married to
Mary E. Cuthbert on Sept. 21, 1884, at Hills Corners. To this union were born
nine children, all living, as follows:  Harry J. of Buchanan; Phoebe Heyn of
Baroda, Nellie Gilbert of Buchanan; Pearl Crothers of Buchanan, Clarence of
Portage Prairie; Lily Hughes of Los Angeles; Roy D. of Detroit; Edith Bauman of
Maywood, Calif.; Doris Boles of Three Oaks.  There also survive the following
sisters and brothers: George of Glendora; William of Baroda; Clayton of
Buchanan; Ella Phiscator of St. Joseph; Stella Rigley of Galien; Edna Narragan
of Baroda; Minnie Robe of Buchanan.

     The funeral will be held from near Glendora this afternoon at 2 p.m. with
Rev. Thomas Rice in charge.  Burial will be made in the Hinman cemetery.
