Herald Palladium 09 May 1995
The Herald Palladium carried an obituary of Adelcy Hauch on 09 May 1995 and it 
reads:  “Adelcy Hauch Sawyer-Adelcy R. Hauch, 78, of Sawyer died Monday at 
Mercy Memorial Medical Center, St. Joseph.  The funeral will be at 2 p.m. 
Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sawyer, of which she was a member.  
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Boyd 
Funeral Home, Bridgman.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Chickaming 
Township.  Memorials may be made to the church.  Mrs. Hauch was born Dec. 27, 
1916, in Sawyer, where she was a lifetime resident.  Survivors include: her 
husband, Herman, whom she married Nov. 28, 1936; two sons-James Hauch of 
Belvidere, Ill., and Robert Hauch of Napa Calif.; two daughters-Shirley 
Akright of Benton Harbor and Carol Moneta of Bridgman; eight grandchildren; 
eight great-grandchildren; three brothers-Edward Sonnenberg, Richard 
Sonnenberg and Irvin Sonnenberg, all of Michigan City, Ind.; and two sisters-
Rose Olmstead and June Bartels, both of Michigan City.”  DOD 08 May 1995
