The Niles Daily Star carried the obituary of Jerry Hauch on 29 Nov 
2001:  “Jerry Joe Hauch 1954-2001  Funeral services for Jerry Joe Hauch, 47, 
of 3141 Warren Woods Road, Galien will be Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at Hoven 
Funeral Home in Buchanan.  Cremation will take place with burial at a later 
date.  Hauch died on natural causes Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at his 
home.  Hauch was born May 5, 1954, in New Troy.  He was a lifetime area 
resident.  On July 6, 1974 he married his former spouse, Nancy Boughner, in 
three Oaks.  She survives.  He owned D&J Auto and Hardware in Three Oaks.  
Survivors (in addition to his ex-wife) include:  one son, Jerry (and Angie) 
Hauch, Jr. of Three Oaks; three daughters, Jennifer Patton, Jackie and Jodi 
Hauch, all of three Oaks; six grandchildren; one brother, Jim Hauch of 
Buchanan; and five sisters, Lucille Christopher of Illinois, Loretta Zielke 
and Jane Brackett both of Buchanan, Joyce Green of Three Oaks, and Julie 
Clayton of Pentwater.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American 
Diabetes Association.  There will be no visitation.”
