Berrien County Record 20 Nov 1996
The Berrien County record carried the obituary for Martin Hauch on 20 Nov 1996 
and it reads:  “Martin Hauch Baroda-Martin L. Hauch, 83, of Houghton Lake, 
Mich., formerly of Baroda, died Nov. 14.  Mr. Hauch was born March 11, 1913 in 
Baroda.  He was a former employee of Clark Equipment Co. in Buchanan for 27 
years and was owner of Sunset Bay resort in Houghton Lake.  On June 29, 1935, 
in Berrien County, he married the former Lydia Mensinger.  She survives along 
with two sons, Donald and Allen; four daughters, Linda Music, Virgina 
Gorsline, Elaine White and Loraine Bartholemew; one sister, Lydia Rudloff of 
Berrien Center; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces 
and nephews.  Funeral services were held Nov. 16 at First Baptist Church, 
Prudenville, Mich.  Arrangements were by Steurnol & McLaren Funeral Home, 
Prudenville.”
