Herald Palladium 06 Aug 1990
The Herald Palladium carried the obituary for Victor Hauch on 06 Aug 1990 and 
it reads:  “Victor Hauch Victor A. Hauch, 79, former Berrien County Sheriff’s 
deputy and detective, died Sunday morning at Martin Luther Memorial Home, 
South Haven.  He resided on Territorial Road, Benton Harbor.  The funeral will 
be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Benton Harbor, 
of which he was a member.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph.  
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Dey-Florin Chapel, St. Joseph, of 
Florin Funeral Service.  Memorials may be made to the church.  Mr. Hauch was 
born Dec 17, 1910, in Benton harbor.  He was a member of the sheriff’s 
department for 29 years and since 1977 was employed by Florin Funeral 
Service.  Survivors include:  his wife, the former Adeline Reck; a son, Dennis 
J. of Lake Jackson, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. William (Adele) Bluschke of St. 
Joseph; six grandchildren; a brother, Herbert of Oconto Falls, Wis.; and a 
sister, Mrs. Viola Bomke of Benton Harbor.”
