OBITUARIES:  Isaac W. Hayes
Buchanan, Jan. 12 (Special)- Isaac W. Hayes, 84, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday in his
home at 208 West Fourth Street, after a week's illness.
     He was born Dec. 22, 1861, in Royetan, Delaware county, Ind., the son of
George and Elvina Hayes, and came here 56 years ago.  He was married to Eva M.
Tomlinson on Aug 9, 1888, in Buchanan.  For many years he was a farmer and later
was employed in the Clark Equipment company plant.
     Mr. Hayes leaves his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Leo Huebner of Buchanan, a
brother David Hayes, Hiawatha, Kans, and six grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held in the Swem funeral home at 2:30 p.m.
Thursday.  The rev. Raymond H. Kretachmer, past of the Evangelical church, will
officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.  Friends may call at the
funeral home.
