Hotchkin, 88, an old and welll known resident of Benton Harbor, Wednesday afternoon. Services were held at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. H. W. Hansen officated. Mrs. Clarence Cook and C. O. Wheeler sang "Rock of Ages" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." These numbers were selected by Mrs. Hotchkin before her death with the request they be sung at her funeral. Floyd Denslow, a granson, had charge at the church of the many beautiful foral tributes from friends and relatives. The casket bearers were: Cecil Hotchkin , of Benton Harbor; Elwyn Hotchkin of Jackson, MI.; Ward, Hubert and Morris Hotchkin of Lansing, MI.; and Donald Hotchkin of Coloma, MI. Burial was in the Morton Hill Cemetery, Benton Harbor. Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Price, of Homer Michigan; Mrs. W. Bearsley of Laingsburg, Michigan; and Mrs. Frank Wythe of Mason, Michigan; Mrs. Etta Martin of Battle Creek; and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Boneil of South Bend were relatives from out of town here for the funeral. Additional Comments: (This was also in the newspaper)Mrs. Hotchkin celebrated her 88th birthday August 1, 1925 at a surprise birthday party at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eugene Denslow, Cedar Street, Benton Harbor. She was the central figure in a "Flashlight picture" of the party.
