Mrs. Phebe A. Howard, of this place, died Tuesday afternoon, after a sickness of
less than twenty-four hours, of what is supposed to have been apoplexy, age 65
years.  She was found lying on the floor near the bed that morning, apparently
having fallen there when preparing for bed, and did not recover consciousness. 
Mrs. Howard has been resident of this place 17 years.  Her funeral took place
yesterday afternoon.






Additional Comments:
Per Michigan death record in GENDIS, she was born in NY and father's name was
Gardener.  She died in Buchanan. She was the wife of John C. Howard and mother
of George Alexander Howard.
