MARY LAMBERT FORMER NILES LADY DIED TODAY AT BATTLE CREEK Mrs. Mary Lambert, a former resident of Niles for many years, passed away this morning at 3:30 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milo Skinner in Battle Creek. The deceased was born in New York, June 14, 1826, but had resided in Niles since her marriage to the late George Lambert whose death occurred a number of years ago. Mrs. Lambert is survived by four daughters as follows: Mrs. L.B. Rowley, Byron, N.Y., Mrs. A.D. Young, Three Rivers; Mrs. Milo Skinner, Battle Creek, Mich., and Mrs. Ella Hilderbrand of Niles. A large number of more distant relatives and friends mourn the loss of Mrs. Lambert who had endeared herself to them by her kindness and who life was in every way worthy of emulation. The remains will be brought to Niles Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The funeral will be held from Mrs. Hilderbrand’s home. Additional Comments: Per death record, Mary Lambert, died at 17 Beach st, Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., daughter of John Stone, born Conn. and Eunice Webb, born Conn. Alice Skinner, 17 Beach St., Battle Creek was informant. Says age 16 at marriage and had 9 children, 4 living. Burial at Niles, Mich.
