Lochinaw was called to Martin, Tennessee, by the information that his father was dying. On his arrival he found that the father had died late that evening. The elder Lochinaw was a native of Germany and nearly eighty years of age. He was a brother of the late John Lochinaw of Berrien township, and father of Charles and another son, and of the wife of Dr. Wheeler, a form resident of this village. Mr. Lochinaw came to Oronoko township and located on a farm in 1859 and made his home on that land until fifteen or twenty years ago. He was a good citizen and will be favorable remembered by most of the older residents of this township.
