Lockamay Floyd D. Lockamay, 64, Route 2, Glendora Road, Buchanan, died at 9:42 a.m. Monday at Pawating Hospital. Born July 18, 1921 in Sulfer Rock, Ark., he was an area resident since 1951, and retired in 1982 from Clark Equipment. He also was a World War II Navy veteran. On Oct. 5, 1940, in New Madron, Mo., he married Dixey Hombrick, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Gene and Robert, both of Galien, and Kenneth of Dayton, Mich.; two daughters, Pat Herr of Baroda and Barbara Peters of three Oaks; three brothers, John of Flint, Shelby of Pontiac and Curtis of St. Louis, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Swen Funeral Home, Buchanan, with Rev. Russell Boersma of the Hills Corner Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at the New Troy Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.” Note: This family name is spelled Lockamy and his wife was Dixie Hambrick not Dixey Hombrick. Floyd’s middle initial should be E. not “D.”.
