Lockamy’s bodie was found by Allen Bradley, who notified State Police from the Niles post. He is believed to have drowned Saturday while swimming with companions. No missing person report was filed because his companions believed that he had just left the area. Mr. Lockamy was born Oct. 13, 1949 in Walnut Ridge, Ark., and moved to the Galien area in 1951. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lockamy, Box 9, Galien; three brothers, Gene and Robert, both of Galien, and Kenneth of Dayton Lake; and two sisters, Mrs. Clem (Pat) Fergeson, Berrien Springs and Mrs. Jerry (Barbara) Peters, New Buffalo. Funeral Services for Mr. Lockamy will be a 10 a.m. Thursday at the Swem Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home in Buchanan, the Elder John P. Ross, Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Burial will follow in New Troy Cemetery in New Troy. Friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight at the Swem Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home.” Note: Johney Lockamy was a Viet Nam veteran.
