Aug. 24, 1940 page 2 Niles Daily Star, Sat. Aug. 24, 1940 page 2 W.W.J. McOmber, Veteran Railway Employe, is Dead William W.J. McOmber, who lived near Niles for the past 28 years died at this morning at his home on South street, south of the Niles city limits. Mr. McOmber was born in Benton Harbor June 22, 1868, and moved to Niles from Decatur, Mich. He was a retired railroad maintenance-of-way employe. He was married Nov. 18, 1918, to Gratna Maddron, who survives him. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Katie Casner and Miss Rose McOmber, both of Niles; a brother Bernie McOmber, Benton Harbor; a sister, Miss Mattie McOmber, Decatur; three grandchildren. Friends may call at the Price and Kiger funeral home. Services will be held in the Price and Kiger chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2.
