Buchanan Record, Thurs. Feb. 26, 1891, page 3
DIED:  Mr. Christian Meffert, for a number of years a citizen of Buchanan
township, died at his home, about four miles north of this place, Tuesday
evening, age about 75 years.  The funeral will be held in the Evangelical church
tomorrow afternoon, at 2 o'clock.  A portion of the services will be in German.
