South Bend Tribune 22 Aug 1989
The South Bend Tribune carried the obituary for Don Mensinger on 22 Aug 
1989:  “Don E. Mensinger Mishawaka-Don E. Mensinger, 40, of 1325 Lincoln Way 
E., died at 6:22 a.m. today in his home after an illness.  Mr. Mensinger was 
employed by Gore Manufacturing, North Charleston, S.C., as a maintenance 
supervisor.  He was born Jan. 31, 1949 in New Troy, and spent most of his life 
in this area.  Survivors include two sisters, Joyce Smith of New Troy and 
Karolyn Milewski of Mishawaka; a brother, Martin J. of Bellview, Idaho; and 
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin E. Mensinger of Sawyer.  He was a chief petty 
officer in the Navy for 15 years.  Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 2 
in New Troy Brethren Church.  Cremation will take place.  There will be no 
visitation.  Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., is in charge of 
arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph 
County Inc. or the New Troy Brethren Church.”
