Mrs. Pemelia Mitchell died at the home of her son, four miles north-west of this
place, Saturday, morning.  About two years since she submitted to an operation
for the removal of a tumor from her foot.  The operation did not free her from
the trouble, and she has since been subject to a disease resembling dry
gangreen, and finally resulting in death.  She leaves one son, Mr. Eli Mitchell,
and one daughter, Mrs. Joshua Hartline, and was 78 years of age.  The funeral
services were held at the home Monday.
