Mitchell, a carpenter residing on Michigan street, who has been working at this trade for some time past in the blacksmith shop of Mr. J.R. Miller, died of appoplexy[sic] at one o’clock this afternoon, having been stricken down at noon. He was apparently in his usual health during the forenoon and kept at work, the dread summons coming as usual in such cases without warning. He was taken to his home, where preparations are being made for the funeral. The deceased was abut 65 years of age and leaves a family, who have the deep sympathy of the community in their sorrow.
