Xelima Jane (Magill) Nelson

	Xelima Jane Magill was born in Berrien township, Berrien county, Mich., Jan. 9,
1858, and died at her home in Berrien Centre, March 18, 1906, aged 42 [sic]
years, 2 months and 9 days. She was married to Henry Toney March 6, 1879.  To
this union two children were born, of which the son Ray H. Toney, is living. 
After the death of her husband in 1883 she was again married to Melvin J.
Nelson, Feb. 3, 1891. For many years she had been a faithful member of the Free
Will baptist church.  She was a kind mother and an affectionate wife and was
ever ready to lend assistance to the needy and afflicted.  She leaves a husband,
a sister (Mrs. L. H. Mitchell) and one son to mourn her loss. She was a patient
sufferer and her death was that of the righteous.

Ohio, mother Eliza Parker born Ohio.  Married first at 21 years, 2 children, 1
now living. Occupation Housewife.  Informant Melvin J. Nelson.  Medical: Cause
of Death Right Ovarian Dermoid Tumor with Uremic and Cardiac complications and
rupture of tumor.  Treated by W.A. Smith from Feb. to March 18. Burial at Union
Cemetery March 20, 1906.)
