Berrien Springs Era, Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1879, p. 3


Joel Pangborn, late of this place, was killed last Saturday, at Cedar Springs. 
At the time of his death, he was taking his dinner on a log, when a dry ash tree
fell and struck his head, killing him instantly.  Funeral yesterday.
