Fatal Accident.--On Monday morning, the 8th inst., as Mr. William Stevens of
Weesaw, was passing Hill's Corners, his team became unmanageable, and he was
thrown to the ground with such violence as to break his skull and otherwise
injure him, that he died Tuesday morning.  Surgical aid was immediately
procurred but his injuries were such that an operation was deemed unnecessary. 
He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his untimely end.

Additional Comments:
Son of Sylvester Stevens and Elizabeth Graves, born 1833 in Ohio, married Martha
Jane Ingleright in Berrien County Oct. 27 1855
