Mrs. Minnie Stevens

Buchanan--Graveside prayer services for Mrs. William (Minnie) Stevens were held
today at Oak Ridge cemetery here.  Mrs. Stevens, native of Buchanan, died Friday
night in a Grand Rapids hospital.  She was 86 years of age and had been a
resident of Sparta.
	Funeral services were held in Grand Rapids previous to today's graveside rites.
	Mrs. Stevens was born Nov. 4, 1876 in Buchanan, the daughter of Eli and Mary
Jane Mitchell.
	Her husband preceded her in death.
	Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. H.E. LaVine of Sparta; two brothers, Andrew
Mitchell and Bert Mitchell, both of Buchanan, three grandchildren and several
great grandchildren.
	The Swem funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
