Stevens Dies At Home of His Son in Buchanan Saturday Buchanan, Oct. 13—James E. Stevens, 60, died Saturday in the home of his son, Louis Stevens, 219 Liberty avenue. Death followed a year’s illness. For many years he had followed the trade of molder and had been employed in Detroit foundaries. Due to his failing health, he came with his wife five months ago to make his home with his son. Mr. Stevens was born Nov. 20, 1869, in Pomroy, O. Surviving, besides the widow and son, is a daughter, Mrs. Verne Rathbun, of Detroit. Funeral services will be held this afternoon in the son’s home. A reader of the International Bible students’ association, of which he was a member, conducted the services. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery and are being held under the auspices of the Niles Lodge of Eagles, by request of the Detroit aerie No. 82, of which Mr. Stevens had long been a member.
