Niles Daily Star 10 Mar 1981
The Niles Daily star carried the obituary of John P. Upson on 10 Mar 
1981:  “John P. Upson  John P. Upson , 80, 102 Broadway, Berrien Springs, died 
Saturday March 7, in Berrien General Hospital.  He was born September 13, 
1900, in Oronoko Township.  Upson retired from Clark Equipment Co., Buchanan, 
January 1, 1963:  He was a boiler operator there.  Three brothers and one 
sister preceded him in death.  He is survived by several nieces and nephews.  
Services will be 2:30 p.m. today in McLaughlin-Willit Funeral Home, Berrien 
Springs.  The Rev. Gaylord Howell, of United Methodist Church, will 
officiate.  Burial will be in Weesaw Cemetery, Glendora.”
