His condition has been serious for the past year. Mr. Weaver was born Aug. 19, 1856, at the Weaver homestead in the Wagner district, the son of Jacob Weaver, Sr., and Orpha Crumb Weaver, early settlers of Buchanan township. He was educated in the district schools of the township and assumed the management of the farm following the death of his father. He retired in 1916 when he moved to his home on West Front street. He was married in 1910 to Emma Wray. Mrs. Weaver died exactly a year ago. Surviving are two sons, Artie, Buchanan township and Bert, Niles township; two brothers, William Weaver, Oronoko township and Manuel Weaver, Hart, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Ella McFallon, Buchanan. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon in the Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Dewey Rowe, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
