Mead] .. . Monday morning our citizens were greatly shocked to learn of two very sudden deaths that took place Sunday night. Mr. P.N. Weaver an old resident of Buchanan and for many years one of our merchants, died suddenly at his home on Main street Sunday evening. Mr. Weaver was down town Saturday and appeared to be as well as usual, but was taken ill Saturday night and died Sunday evening. He was 78 years of age. The cause of death is said to have been heart trouble. Mr. Weaver was a man well known to all our readers and his pleasant greetings will be missed very much. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon from the house at 2:30 o’clock. Buchanan Record, Friday, March 10, 1905, page 1 IN MEMORIAM Philip N. Weaver Was born in Albany, N.Y.
