Herald Palladium 27 Jan 1990
The Herald Palladium carried the obituary for Walter Yeske on 27 Jan 1990 and 
it reads:  “Walter Yeske Sawyer-Walter C. G. Yeske, 76, Sawyer, died Friday at 
the Pawating hospital, Niles.  The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at 
the Boyd Funeral Home in Bridgman.  Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 
7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the New Troy 
Cemetery.  Mr. Yeske was born Oct. 29, 1913 in Benton Harbor.  He was a 
lifetime resident.  He retired from Industrial Rubber Goods in St. Joseph.  
Survivors include; his wife Elsie (Macholtz) Yeske; his son, Walter Yeske of 
Sawyer; his daughter, Mrs. Craig (Janice) Sizer of Hopkins, Mich; three 
brothers-Max Yeske of Winterviller, Ohio, Ivan Mittan of Buchanan and Irvine 
Mittan of Benton Harbor; three sisters-Caroline Ott of Bridgman, Mrs. Edith 
Ells and Ethel Wentland both of St. Joseph; four grandchildren.”
