Morton Hill Cemetery New Flower Beds

Shows work being done on this cemetery thru the endowment fund.

Additional Comments:
My Aunt (Nancy Filstrup/Clark/Byrne) and I are direct descendents of one of 
the cofounders of Benton Harbor, Sterne Brunson, who is buried in Morton Hill 
Cemetery.  Last year we established an endowment fund under Friends of Morton 
Hill Cemetery.  The donations are used to restore the monuments and provide 
better landscaping.  We have been able to fund a night light for the cemetery 
to prevent further vandalism and have held two work days to plant flowers and 
clean up the grounds.  We are in the process of erecting a Michigan Historical 
marker in the cemetery that was founded in 1836.
