Jackson (1815-1896) and his wife, Anastacia Redmond Nolan Jackson (1823-1895). It is believed to have been commissioned by their eldest daughter, RoseAnna Jackson Cavanaugh, who was then living in Chicago. Through his wife, Jackson was a relative of the Yore family in Berrien County, and the Jackson family came over from Shields Township in Lake County, Illinois in the mid-1870's. Jackson maintained orchards in Benton Harbor for some 20 years before his death. Dates on the tombstone are quite incorrect. Additional Comments: John C. and Anastacia Jackson were a set of my maternal greatgrandparents.
