JACKSON (abt. 1815 -1896), and his wife, ANASTACIA JACKSON (1823 - 1895) Additional Comments: Inscription on marker is incorrect. John C. was NOT born in 1796, and Anastacia was NOT born in 1821. I have proven evidence to the contrary in both cases. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson lived in Benton Harbor from the mid 1870's, when they came across the lake with their children from Lake Forest, IL. They had connections to the prominent and prolific Yore family of Benton Harbor, through the marriages of at least two of their children. Their elder son John Charles Jackson (1859-1925) left Berrien County in about 1880 and was settled in Newburgh and New Windsor in Orange County, NY by 1889. Their younger son, Michael Timothy Jackson, remained "at home" and is interred ay Crystal Springs Cemetery. Their female children also married, and their families flourished in Chicago, elsewhere in Berrien County and in Michigan, and in Ohio.
