Coldwater Courier, May 30, 1876
Sarah Martin, daughter of Robert Martin, aged twelve years, died Friday 
afternoon. She had been sick nearly five months and was a great sufferer much 
of the time. During the last twenty one days of her sickness she took no 
nourishment whatever, excepting chloroform, morphine, and a very little cold 
water. Her funeral was attended at the Presbyterian church yesterday morning.
