Coldwater Courier, April 7, 1899
Mrs. Sevilla Rice died at the home of her daughter Sarah, at Parkville, Mar. 
31, 1899. Her remains were brought to her old home here, and the funeral sermon 
was preached Sunday afternoon, by Rev. Eagle, at the home of her son Charles in 
west Girard, and the interment made in west Girard cemetery. She was married to 
Christian Rice in 1848. He died five years ago. To them were born, twelve 
children eight of whom are living, all being present at the funeral except one.
