Coldwater Republican, Aug. 31, 1875
A very sad accident occurred Thursday afternoon, which resulted in the death of 
Mr. Wm. H. Taylor, in the north part of the township. He was engaged in moving 
a building, using a windlass and horse power, when a chain broke, one end of 
which flew back, striking him on the bowels inflicting injuries of which he 
died in about twenty-four hours after. His funeral was attended at the 
Presbyterian church yesterday, the services being conducted by Dr. Shepherd, of 
the Disciples church, of which Mr. Taylor was a member.
