Harrison enlisted on September 22, 1864 at Coldwater, Michigan in Company A,
Hall's Independent Sharpshooters for 1 year of service at age 31. He took the
muster oath on September 23, 1864. Transferred to Company G, 1st Michigan
Sharpshooters on March 15, 1865. He was discharged at Delaney House, D.C. on
June 3, 1865.
