The Marshall [MI] Statesman September 12, 1902
Mrs. Sherman Jewell who has been ill for some time past died at her home on 
south Mulberry street Wednesday evening. The funeral services will be held 
this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the house. The remains will be taken to 
Hastings for burial, the former home of the deceased. Mrs. Jewell is survived 
by a husband and two children.
