Belcher, 34, of Battle Creek, died July 3, 2007 at his home following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Marc worked for the State of Michigan as a corrections officer at the Robert G. Cotton Corrections Facility, Jackson, MI until three months before his passing. Marc was an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed motor cross, hunting, boating and especially fishing. His love for fishing led him to establish a home based business; "No Limits Fishing Rods," building custom made fishing poles. Marc looked forward every year to his fishing trips to Canada with his dad and sons. Marc was a member of the National Rifle Association and The North American Fishing Association. He was preceded in death by his stepfather and dearest friend Thomas Mansfield on June 29, 2007. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. today at Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Shaw Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Olmstead, Pleasantview Family Church officiating. Interment Bedford Cemetery.
