James A. "Brock" Brockway, 67, of Battle Creek died Sunday, July 29, 2007 surrounded 
by his loving family at the Battle Creek Health System. He was born in Battle Creek 
and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School.
James retired from the Kellogg Company in 1996 after more than 33 years of faithful service.

James was preceded in death by a brother, David Brockway.
James was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Kellogg 25 Year Club. 
He cherished his Dark Blue 1934 Ford and enjoyed Antique and Classic cars. James was an 
avid NASCAR fan; he loved his dog and spending time with his wife and 3 children, of whom he 
was very proud.
At the request of the family, friends may call after 2:00 p.m., today at the 
Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where they will be received 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 p.m. 
and where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy to celebrate Brock's life 
will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home with Fr. Joseph Savier of St. Joseph 
Catholic Church, officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. 
The family asks that friends who wish drive their Classic or Antique cars during the funeral 
procession. Memorials made to the American Cancer Society or the Calhoun Area Humane Society 
would be appreciated. Personal messages for the family.
