Battle Creek Enquirer June 17, 1969
ATHENS - Mrs. Melissa Addaline (McNees) Connie, 71, of  Route 1, wife of George 
L. Conine, died Monday evening at the Community Health Center in Coldwater 
where she had been a patient two days.
 She was born in Bangor and came here from Battle Creek with her family 37,
years ago.
In addition to her husband; she is survived by 4 daughters; 5 sons; sisters,  
Mrs. Howard (Viroke) Slocum of Battle Creek, Mrs. Viola Bertholomey of South 
Haven, Mrs. Clara Green of Bangor and brothers Harold McNees of South Haven and 
Ernest of Bangor.
